Pride and Fire by Jo Marie DeGioia #2 in her interesting "Dashing Nobles" series. Can be read as a stand alone. A unique storyline but, I had a hard time liking or connecting with the characters. The story does have intrigue, betrayal, suspense, passion, sexually intensive, blackmail, deceit, violence and romance. Can the H/H come to grip with their inner conflicts, and find healing, forgiveness and their HEA? There was something difficult to enjoy about the H/H, while both are intelligent, strong-willed, and independent characters, they seem to come off as sad, pathetic people. However, with this said it is an enjoyable read with some twists and turns. Would I read the next installment, yes, I would! Received for an honest review from Net Galley. However, all opinions and thoughts are my own. Rating: 4 Heat rating: Mild to hot due to the violence Reviewed by: AprilR
