Review # 1 was written on 2013-03-07 00:00:00 Nina Kotwica Daufuskie Island off the coast of South Carolina has always interested me and this book tells the reader what it's like to have been raised and living on the island. Good read but the recipes call for split pigs feet and tails, knuckles, neck bones, and things not readily available in the southwest grocery store. Still, gullah life is interesting. |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-06-13 00:00:00 Ron Bolman Nice history. Recipes nothing special if you already know how to cook anything well. |
