At the begining of the book in the authors note she states that some scenes have been reconfigured and enhanced for clarity and dramatic impact. Also she states that two of the people in the story are composites. The only problem I have with one of the people being a composite is that the person had a large impact on the story. Sometimes it is better to leave the story as it is. With horror stories especially, sometimes more drama takes from the eerieness which is exactly what Denice did in her book. All that aside, I really enjoyed the book. I am however very opinionated. I'm wondering why Denice didn't continue with the exorcisms and ultimately decided to go with information she got through a seance? The Bishop that agreed to help her told her that sometimes more than one exorcism is needed. Denice thanked the Bishop for the exorcism and then went public with the her story. She claims she went public so that others will know they are not alone. I'm not sure what to think about that. Having read many other books on this subject I know that most exorcists don't want publicity and for good reasons. Also she never gave the Bishops advice about more than one exorcism another thought. She states that she is worried for her son and yet does nothing to change what is happening to him now that she has the knowledge to do so. She even claims that she doesn't feel the need to change her son. If the things she claims they are going through are in fact real then that seems a bit weird to me....

A mothers perspective, lots of pages. Good read. Kind of God-heavy.
