Review # 1 was written on 2013-02-03 00:00:00 David Goeldi A very interesting book. Full of little assessments so you can review your children's involvement in various areas. I think I like what they are getting at: essentially how children spend their time (or waste their time) leads to either good or bad habits as adults. The author used a variety of research and took a balanced approach to the topic. A wee bit dry in some areas, but the last two chapters (maybe last 3) would be worth reading if you are a parent and or work with kids. Then you can pick and choose the other chapters that seem important or applicable. |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-12-29 00:00:00 Ronald Maxwell Most of the book covered theory I already knew about, and there reaches a point in time when being reminded you can only change yourself isn't helpful. But the last chapter has some practical applications and there is an extensive resource list. Maybe I will be able to get more good ideas from one of them. |
