Review # 1 was written on 2011-04-10 00:00:00 Danny Yang This book is about the daily struggles young girls face. This is about that advises you how to go through life. It is a positive refrence to dealing with life battles. It includes tips and solutions for problems we may face as girls. It is of 168 pages of how to survive in the inner-city and refuse to become a product of your envirnment. I think this book because it applys to me. It makes me take the time out to look at the different aspects of life. It uplifts me and reminds me that, there is another world that I still need to discover. By reading this book I have learned new values. I also have learned how women who we look up to over came the struggles I face today. I recommend this books to all girls who can read because, it never to early or late to get a wake up call. |
Review # 2 was written on 2014-09-04 00:00:00 Justin Henderson I was lucky enough to have Dr. Ray as a professor and this was required reading, but I didn't get to the year, so I read it on the trip home for the summer. It makes a big difference when combined with her teaching style. I was especially interested in her analysis of Scottish heritage in combination with Southern heritage. |
