Review # 1 was written on 2016-11-23 00:00:00 Cynthia Cole Ray Eye has written a great comprehensive book on turkey hunting. This book is great for beginner turkey hunters and the more experience turkey hunters will also enjoy it. This book is filled with amazing tips and essentials to becoming the best turkey hunter you can be. Ray talks about the techniques that should be used while scouting for turkeys and calling the bird. Ray goes into great detail on every caller there is; from the box call to the mouth call and all kinds of slate calls. To Ray turkey hunting isn't a hobby it's a skill that takes time to master. Reading this book really opens your eyes to seeing how a master outdoorsman thinks and how he became so successful. But this book isn't all about the glory's of turkey hunting, Ray really gets his point across by letting people know not ever hunt is going to be a success but enjoy the hunt anyways. Even though Ray's book was only an informative book, he made it so the book had a theme, and he added a twist to his book, not only did he talk about hunting techniques he built in some stories of his own experiences from his past hunts. Rays theme to Practical Turkey Hunting Strategies is that anyone can hunt with a little help. I would recommend this book to all turkey hunters in a heart beat, weather they are first starting out or have been hunting for years this book has so much knowledge through its pages. The only problem with this book is I couldn't seem to put it down.
