Review # 1 was written on 2015-05-24 00:00:00 Kimberly Samuelson I found this book at the library. It is geared towards 40 somethings, so as a mid-20 something you wouldn't think I would find much interest in the book. However, this book as a good message. It is saying that people have the power to change their love life, the expectations and their patterns. This book gave me some things to think about in terms of how I deal with my parents and how that affects how I choose to live my life. The reader has to do a lot of the work here because the information is very broad. If you are dissatisfied with you love life and want to take the power back and try and fix it this is a book to consult. It doesn't provide tricks or a set of rules everyone can use. It doesn't promise a happy ending to your life. Instead it suggests things to think about and ways to slowly change your own patterns and hopefully find the love you deserve. A refreshing relationship read.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-05-13 00:00:00 Matthew Sarratt This book does a really nice job of classifying "dissatisfied singles" into eight categories, based on thought, dating, family, and behavior patterns. Then it gives advice on how to go about changing those patterns in order to end up with a fulfilling relationship -- including how to stand up to your family, to discover who you really are and what you really want. The book is written optimistically and hopefully, and gives examples of dating behavior that was sometimes, strikingly familiar to me, and sometimes easy to write off as "that's not what I do." I recommend this book, though, as a mirror for anyone who is looking for a lasting relationship and having difficulty finding it.
