Review # 1 was written on 2012-01-14 00:00:00 Richard Lawson Wonderful writing and a keen sense of humor throughout. Longstreth captured all the lovely subtleties of East Coast hiking, and then some, taking you along with him on his romp through woods and villages alike. A joyful love story dedicated to the Catskills, both its mountains and its inhabitants. Highly recommended!

Review # 2 was written on 2009-04-20 00:00:00 Mark Singer Great book, so much local history in my home town. Interesting chapter about John Burroughs, alive at that time.
