I liked this book. It has some good ideas about how to help right-brained kids (more visual/spatial oriented) succeed in school. I especially like the recommendations to use pictures to improve spelling and helping kids feel more comfortable writing by using keyboarding, rather than handwriting. It was hard for me to give up a more traditional approach to learning, but once I implemented some of these techniques, I saw great improvement. The author knows what she is talking about. I just wish it included even more information and tips. A fantastic overview (with good suggestions) for the reader who is new to this subject and would like to help someone immediately.

It's not a good book, but it helped me in a pretty significant way. I started reading it to find clues for keeping my son as curious and motivated to learn as he is right now. By the end, I had identified myself in its pages, forgiven myself for never memorizing my multiplication tables and made some real changes that have helped me manage my crazy workload at the office. A good quick read for anybody who has felt like they would be smart if they could ever manage to learn anything.
