Review # 1 was written on 2018-02-20 00:00:00 Gilles Levesque An odd little volume. Smiley gives a (quite) superficial overview of the book's plot, briefly describes the film, then provides excruciating odd details about the first edition (copyright date, current market value). There is a lot to talk about with the process of adapting novels to film (e.g. Point of View, Narrative voice, what to include and exclude, style) but she never gets around to any of these topics. But if you want details of the current market price of first editions of novels made into movies, this is your tome.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-06-12 00:00:00 Brett Byers The author's take on around 70 books that have been made into film and his view of the strengths and weaknesses of each. I found a few more books for my reading list and some more movies I'd like to see some day.
