Review # 1 was written on 2019-08-19 00:00:00 Carol Gould This book is an introduction to the most common desert trees and shrubs for a non-specialist audience. It covers a diverse, enormous region, four connected yet different deserts. Consequently, only a small portion of the plants would be relevant for most readers. While there are some nice ethnobotanical comments, this is not really a field guide, nor does it have photos or even high quality illustrations for a less technical audience.
