Review # 1 was written on 2014-02-16 00:00:00 Jolanta Hillebrandt A straightforward story that makes you appreciate the change from Roman numerals to Arabic numerals for simplicity sake! But in reality while many changes occurred and the adoption was over the course of time when people wrote, talked, advocated, and shared about this system, it really wasn't until the creation of the printing press that everyone saw the ease and value of a simpler system. It's a cool introduction to numbers for a fun inclusion into the math classroom as a read aloud and/or under the ELMO.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-09-27 00:00:00 Paul Cirino As someone who studies typography and writing systems, it was interesting for me to finally learn the origin of a number system that spans many languages. I enjoyed this! It was actually no longer than an article, dense with information, yet easy to follow.
