Review # 1 was written on 2010-06-16 00:00:00 Roberto Rojas It is a basic textbook that gives a broad sweep of the topic but it was not very readable. I am not sure if I would use it if I teach this course again. |
Review # 2 was written on 2016-09-01 00:00:00 Lynn Collis I guess it was ok as a school textbook, but right now I felt like the book had a lot of common sense ideas. The focus countries for each chapter are nice, but sometimes it lacked the global perspective that sociology textbook needs. Overall, it is a nice introduction book to sociology, but if you want some new information, it probably would not attract your attention. |
