Review # 1 was written on 2019-08-26 00:00:00 Sandra Gilbody Inverse theory for petroleum reservoir characterisation and history matching is a recent book with an attractive title that deals with the non-uniqueness problem in petroleum reservoir engineering. The first chapter is an introduction about the forward problem and inverse problem, simple and easy to understand. The second and third chapters about examples of the inverse problem and estimation of linear inverse problem are full of mathematics that I couldn't really understand, probably there were too much calculus for a silly petroleum engineer like me.
