Review # 1 was written on 2018-04-02 00:00:00 Harry Tompary This was a very dense read, written for an academic audience, but absolutely worth taking the time to work through, as it gave me many new thoughts about modernity, life as a 21st century housewife, and differing ways to read interwar middlebrow novels.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-03-18 00:00:00 Alejandro Vanilla Lovely book! Ms. Meng's aesthetic is perfectly honed and displayed as a visual feast. If only I could go to France every year to gather...but at least she shares her lovely finds with doable wisdom.
