Review # 1 was written on 2018-09-27 00:00:00 Scot Delarino While not without its faults - on occasion quite clumsy language and all too frequent and explicit opinions of Etchegoyen which show his preference for Kleinian theory over Anna Freud and her followers - this is by far the best book on psychoanalytic technique that I have had the pleasure of reading. It's incredibly erudite and precise, the latter being all too rare in the world of psychoanalytic literature. Highly recommended for anyone who already knows theory and wants to learn how to apply it. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-12-23 00:00:00 Kevin Latchford The subtitle, "A Feminist Revision," is missing. This is an amazing book. Very helpful in understanding the women who worked with Jung to develop what became "Jungian" theories and practices. Very clear and concise. Also very helpful is how Rowland explains complex Jungian terms in simple language that is accessible to general readers as well as advanced students. |
