I really enjoyed this book, the first story made me unsure but i stuck with it and i was pleased i did. Well written, each character drawn so perfectly and the observations of how old age effects us all in different ways - missed chances, lives lived differently to how we planned. I am going to look out for more. I've come late to Emyr but i'm pleased i did.

A stream of consciousness account of a young boy during the Civil War/Shenandoah Campaign. He thinks he has become a spirit, has multiple adventures as one, and meets some historical figures (Gens Ashby, Jackson, etc.) Graphic descriptions of the sights, sounds, and smells of war.
