This is a new English edition of an older, French guidebook. This is not an extensive guidebook to the Mont Blanc Massif but a selection of some of the finest, easier routes. With comprehensive route descriptions, clear topos, and lots of photos, this guide provides plenty to be getting on with - routes include the classic climbs up Mont Blanc, easy acclimatisation peaks and even some steeper ice routes. Lightweight and easy to stash in your pack, well worth carrying with you.

While there were a few interesting stories, this reads like a very dry history book. That very well may have been the intention, so it may be good for mountaineering scholars. But not so good for me.
