Review # 1 was written on 2016-12-10 00:00:00 John Golden I know nothing about opera. I picked this book up thinking it would be more architectural. I'm marking it low as I don't think the book ever quite worked. It was not well laid out and felt squashed. The pieces about the houses by famous people felt very random.

Review # 2 was written on 2010-05-01 00:00:00 Miner Crosby A surprisingly good historical overview alternated with a chronological survey of the surviving examples of architectural styles. The level of detail was just right for the casual reader planning a visit to southern Spain.
