Review # 1 was written on 2013-09-17 00:00:00 Hal Mcdonald Third volume of Roskills extraordinary history of naval warfare in WWII. Only Morison's 'History of US Naval Operations in WWII' comes close - but that is restricted to the US Navy. It is not only a history book, but also a textbook on naval strategy. Every naval officer should have a copy.

Review # 2 was written on 2014-12-06 00:00:00 Jorma Lehtonen I love Haigh's writing. He's one of the few journalists who can entice me to read whatever it is he's exploring, whether it's something I'm interested in or something I couldn't care less about. I'm addicted to trawling through old issues of The Monthly just to find articles he's penned. He has a subtle and mischievous sense of humour that sneaks in at the perfect moment, and he seems to dedicate his entire soul to the task at hand. It's rare to see such passion and interest in journalism.
