Review # 1 was written on 2015-08-06 00:00:00 Zachary Lutz Eh, this book is kind of disappointing. I guess the artworks in this left me uninspired and I find that the teachings seem to be outdated.

Review # 2 was written on 2015-11-01 00:00:00 Deborah Wood This is a good book, tho not a great one for a beginner. Mr. Smith's illustrations are not to my taste, but his exercises are complete and thorough. He has four pages on light, four pages on skies, four on flowers, foliage and fields, pages on glass containers, several pages on people and animals, and some on general practices etc. Perhaps when I'm a better painter, I'll return to this book.
