Best chess tournament book I've read. Even compared to classics such as the Bronstein Zurich book! The game annotations are great and the authors describe not only what is happening at the board but also a little bit of what happens outside. The drama of whether someone is going to be able to stop Topalov! I like going back to this book to replay some games. It has high quality pages and photos which is not common in chess books. Recommended for chess lovers!

Amazingly detailed analysis of the 2005 World Championship tournament that crowned Topalov. Although the number of GMs present, nor the level of their play, does not rival the famous predecessors tournaments of New York 1924 and Zurich 1953, this tournament featured eight of the best in the world in 2005 in pitched battle. The double round-robin tournament produced some great match-ups and significant battles. So it is super strong and historically important tournament. This book offers complete descriptions and analysis of the participants, their prior games against each other, and in-depth coverage for every game of all 14 rounds of this championship. Agree, that it has the potential to become a classic.
