By now Tashi readers know many of the baddies that cause Tashi and his family and fellow villagers trouble -demons, ghosts, bandits, and a nasty Uncle Tiki Pu, but worst of all is the Baron. He raises his greedy money-grabbing head in both the stories in this book. In the first story, Tashi tells Jack and his classmates about the Royal Tomb that was dug up near their village. Wonderful treasures were being unearthed and the Baron decided to steal some. Tashi tries to stop him and is captured, bound up and hidden under a rug. Tashi falls into the Kings burial chamber and the Baron tries to lock him in and shut the door. Once again Tashi is cleaver and manages to stop the Baron from taking loot from the tomb. In the second story, Wise-as-an-Owl is teaching his son Much-to-Learn all about the Book of Spells that is full of wonderful cures and knowledge for everyone in the village. Tashi is again the one who sets out to find the book and save the knowledge for the village. Luckily Lotus Blossom and Ah Chu come along to help him. They soon discover Uncle Tiki Pu didn't take the book but the Baron did. The magic within was safe and the Baron fooled. I'm getting this series, book by book for my granddaughter.

Yes loyal reader of these reviews the two of you (and that dog, come back Buddy!) well anyway as you may have spotted this is book five of Tasha for the day (and ten overall) - a right marathon with no end in sight - and two more quaint Tasha style adventures and just like the parents in this story we wait the next adventures.
