Review # 1 was written on 2015-02-14 00:00:00 Kimberly Fisher I would describe this book as an introduction to the Thai script rather than a book for learning the colloquial spoken language. I learned spoken Thai through Colloquial Thai but needed to learn the script in an easy way, and overall I was pleased with this book. You learn the consonants and vowels in a gradual way, training your skills through translations and other exercises. I would have liked more coverage of the tone rules, the book teaches the essential and most important rules, but not all rules are included. Some people don't mind this, I do. So for learning the most important parts of Thai script this was a good book to use, if you want a really comprehensive book you need to look elsewhere.
