Review # 1 was written on 2011-07-14 00:00:00 Kenneth Tindale This was an interesting book about mother-daughter dynamics. A lot of coverage along the lines of "try not to assume the worst of them" and "everyone tries their best", but not a lot of "Your mother/daughter may well be psychotic, best to break your ties." Then again, I suppose it wouldn't be a very long book with that premise. |
Review # 2 was written on 2008-07-23 00:00:00 Jan Kees Saltet Recognizing the "songs and dances" which entangle us within our families and learning new music and new dances or even to just let go and refuse to dance in order to survive and grow. This is the best of the self-help books I've encoutnered over time -- practical and non-judgemental and very workable solutions. |
