This is a great book. Dr. Crandall is a cardiologist in Palm Beach. When the miracle that is chronicled in this book first took place, it was all over the South Florida news. I've heard Dr. Crandall preach before, and boy is he ever on fire for Jesus. The anointing on this doctor's life is powerful. This is the kind of doctor you want providing medical treatment for your heart. His walk with the Lord is encouraging. I highly recommend his book.

I have to be honest. When I was submitting my name for this drawing, I realized, after the fact, that I must not have read through the overview of the story in its entirety. I had a very different perception of this book before I received it. I was not expecting it to be one of such high religious persuasion. Now, I am not a particularly religious person and so it is not infrequent that literature with a heavy religious tone turns me from a book. But, I won the draw and decided to give it a chance. I was also quite a bit curious about the strong religious belief that persists with someone in a field often stereotyped with a lack of faith. So from a sociological standpoint, I plowed forward. I was certainly not incorrect in my assessment of this being a highly religiously toned book, the synopsis points to this quite clearly, but I was quite taken with the overall story of a man drawn into belief, and not just apathetic belief, that he could not explain or reason, at least initially. I found my interest in this book falling with that tone of growth into a faith practiced, but perhaps not truly embraced in full. That element of the book was quite striking.
