Review # 1 was written on 2018-04-12 00:00:00 Richard F Camacho ! |
Review # 2 was written on 2009-10-31 00:00:00 David Lovan Before reading Routine Miracles and seeing Dr. Fischer talk about the book, I believed in much of the negativism that it describes. As a medical student, I have heard from innumerable sources- all seasoned physicians- that "it was better to be in medicine 25 years ago." Reading this book truly opened my eyes about modern medicine- especially how much it has to offer to patients and to doctors alike, despite the miserable system we work in. I can't emphasize the worth of this book for anyone out there, especially medical students and others interested in health care today and tomorrow. Dr. Fischer's red-bull driven no-holds-barred approach to clearing the myths about what it means to be a doctor is invigorating and inspiring, a welcome reality check! |
