Review # 1 was written on 2014-10-17 00:00:00 Frederic Vigneron Sorting the Elements is a really informative read about the Periodic Table of Elements, how it’s set up, how metals and non-metals vary, and what elements are most common on earth and in space. This was a perfect book for note taking and reinforcing textbook material in an interesting way.

This book is learning the reader what is the outer space , the solar system , how earth is compared to the space , what’s is the moon and what does it have to do with the space , the sun and many other topics to learn . The eight planets which are Venus , Earth , Mars , Jupiter , Saturn , Uranus and Neptune are important because we are all living in earth which is the only planet where life exist . “ Earth is the largest of terrestrial planets and the fifth largest in the solar system . “ ( page 24 ) . The outer space is the area of space beyond the Earth’s atmosphere and there are astronauts traveling there . “ When people talk of space , they usually mean outer space .” ( page 6 ) . Those were the reasons of the effects of the space . Elements of fiction In this book the most valuable element of fiction are the setting and the theme . The setting of the book is mostly the space , other planets or galaxies . “The Earth itself rotates , or spins , in space as it travels around the Sun “ . (page 12 ) . It is showing the astronauts traveling in the space for some researches . The theme is to be courageous because astronauts are taking a big courage to go to space . Another life lesson is that you should always follow your dreams because when the opportunity comes to you : don’t miss it . Those are the favorable elements of fiction of the book . Recommendation The recommendation is to everyone because you aren’t learning enough about space . The book is very clear and there are images to follow the writings . “ Mercury is the first of the four terrestrial planets “. (page 20 ) . It’s short but very intelligent : for those who don’t like reading but like stories than this book is for you .
