Review # 1 was written on 2013-04-27 00:00:00 Michelle Decarvalho much fun. expounds and analyzes the idea that considerations of esteem - being well thought of - impact behavior and social performance. also has implications for norm development and maintenance. not too much math, but it does use some of the basic analytical tools of economics. lots of simplifications, but the main points of the argument seem to fit much observable fact and allow a certain amount of prediction. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-01-09 00:00:00 Tyler Phillips Closer to 3.5 stars for an interesting social commentary. The book is almost a decade old, but it seems like we're still in the same situation. |
