Review # 1 was written on 2018-11-22 00:00:00 Guy Johnston It's called an activities book, but it wasn't helpful to me. My opinion? This is a book to kickstart children who are more inclined to love English over math. As in, they just need a bit of extra help reading. Not exactly the kind of book you'd get to encourage children who don't enjoy reading and therefore struggle with the reading process--it's more like extra-curricular activities. The title states that it's a prep guide for phonics, but I think it's way more in-depth than phonics instruction. I'd recommend this book as a help for phonics; even then, this probably isn't the book I'd turn to when helping a struggling reader. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-06-25 00:00:00 Larocque Sylvain This is a good book for teachers who are becoming certified to teach ELL and for principals who have little understanding of teaching ELLs. It provides a general overview of concepts you need to understand. It is a fast read. |
