I don't know who this JILL thinks she is or what her problem is... Her review must be a joke of some sort, what with her website being called "Baker and Taylor" and all. It must have been a slip of the hand, as this book was one of the most inspiring, tear-inducing reads of a lifetime. Not only is the book written by an author of 9 years of age, whose sheer determination and talent can only be fractionally matched, but the morals taught in such a seemingly simple children's book are beyond what meets the eye. The symbolism of each character and their tasks throughout this understated classic are Shakespearesque and it is extremely difficult to imagine a young child herself has written it. Every child should have the opportunity to benefit from this enchanting read, as its contents will continue to support their learning and dictate their actions throughout the rest of their lives.

The simple art inspires imagination. The idea of trading something wonderus for something else that is, is not new. But the author and illustrator do it so well it seems novel and it so perfectly constructed.
