I loved this book, but I think part of the reason I loved it so much is because i live in and love cleveland. I loved reading cleveland history, and knowing about the locations and people being mentioned. I could even visit the graves of the victims and their killers! It's crazy to read about something and then truly witness it. Besides that, this book is written well but I feel as if non-clevelanders will lose interest in the longer stories. The stories detail all that was ever known about the case, and I think it's honorable that this author went to such great lengths to document cases that would otherwise be lost to the past. I enjoyed his style of writing, but it wasn't anything unique or amazing. Also, you may be interested in reading this book if you're a feminist or women's rights advocate. This book dealt with a lot of the mistreatment of women in the past. I really enjoyed this aspect of the book. It wasn't just about women killers, but about how the system and government thought of and treated women. I rule that if you live in Cleveland YOU MUST read this book. I loved being educated about my surroundings and history. But, if you live outside of Cleveland, read it only if you really enjoy crime nonfiction or you wanna brush up on your women's history in an interesting way.

While Bellamy's "style" and interesting command (or lack thereof) of writing convention leaves much to be desired in his books, to which he alludes repeatedly, the stories he shares are fascinating. The sordid tales of Cleveland's female killers will surely make you see the history of the Forest City in a different, more interesting, light.
