Rahzel had been kidnapped by Soresta and Baroqueheat in order to lure Alzeid to them. Even though Rahzel manages to escape, Soresta's plan has already worked and he challenges Alzeid to a fight to the death! But Alzeid will be in deep trouble when he finds out how insane Soresta has become over the years... and partly because of this, Baroqueheat decides to join Alzeid's and Rahzel's travels, abandoning Soresta. The duel cools off when Rahzel interferes, but Soresta meets his demise by Alzeid's hand when he tries to murder Rahzel in one swoop...! Then, after they had dealt with the consequences and hardship that came with Soresta's death, Rahzel and the gang travel from town to town in search of the person who killed Alzeid's father. Alzeid finally tells the description of the woman who murdered his father, and they get their first lead to a town that has many people that match the same appearance as hers! The only reason I stopped reading Dazzle (which was at the end of this volume) is because my library did not have volume three nor four, and I didn't know how to use the worldcat/interlibrary loan feature yet. But now that I do, I already have (or had, for about two or three weeks before this reread) checked out volumes one, two, three and four through ILL, and five through ten from my library. They are all in my possession, waiting to be read at any time that I wish. Heheh! It's too bad TOKYOPOP was unable to finish the series though. I would have liked to see how it ended, especially since I have been at a stopping point where it seems everything is about to take a great turn into the real story. Perhaps my impression on the overall series will change immensely. I bet it will. Anyway, the stories in this one were all pretty sad. Soresta made me pretty sad way back, and a little sad now, Vee's story was sad but also happy, that doctor was a ghost, I believe. I guess the doctor really did succeed in killing himself... probably from slits to the wrists, and knowingly or unknowingly, which one I am not sure, Rahzel helped him pass into the next world, even though she was terribly exhausted. And then there was Larawell and her father... Oh my gosh... That one was way emotional back when I first read this, but it is reminiscent now. AND BAROQUEHEAT IS SUCH A PERV. I remember I really didn't like him at first, but then I slowly started liking him, but I still thought he was fishy, and wasn't sure if I could really figure him out. But now I see he's just a wannabe pedophile. And although there are some things I don't understand, because I also don't remember how I exactly looked at things back then, and I look at things a lot different now. In a dumber way, or rather, antisocial way, I think. This happened after I spent more time with my mother and boyfriend, I believe. Hmm... I don't like how this has changed me... I wish that I could see, or at least understand, the world like I did back then... when I read these manga... Anyway... Wait, what was the point I was trying to make again? P.S. That red-haired dude seemed eerily suspicious to me back then, but now he seems a little bit eerily suspicious, and very likable, and not exactly gentlemanly, but like he does not want to be on certain people's bad sides. Smart!
