Review # 1 was written on 2014-06-15 00:00:00 Chad Allgood Again with my usual caveat: for what it is, this book is pretty great. Most of it isn't anything I'd be inclined to make, but if I had a cubicle job again? There would so be eraser-flamingos on my desk. The instructions for each craft are pretty clear and foolproof, and written in an office-slacker tone appropriate to the subject matter. Some of the ideas I don't see anyone using (three places to hide flasks and other liquor? Packing-tape skirt? key-tag "beaded" curtain?) but the smaller-scale ideas could be fun. Favorite projects: paper-clip sculpture, Random-Office-Supply Creatures, and the cubical periscope. Dang, I could have used that one in my publishing days. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-07-15 00:00:00 Love Davis This book was absolutely awful. I thought there was potential from the title, but... really not at all. First of all, what office has spare CPU's laying around that you can casually turn into a food pantry? Or who (besides old school libraries) has stamp pads? Secondly, the layout and type was garish at best, with embarrassing side notes about cheating 'the man' by using office supplies to make 'over the cubicle periscopes.' Really lame. Kinda like a book I saw once about yoga for cats, only without cute cats to make it worth the look. |
