Review # 1 was written on 2018-07-28 00:00:00 Laurie A. Norris Dec. 15, 1909: 2,000 trees shipped from Yokohama from the Mayor of Tokyo on Kaga Maru to Seattle. Jan. 6, 1910: arrive in Washington, D.C. Dept. of Agriculture inspects trees citing infections and infestations. Trees and their wrappings burned. Apologetic letters go out from Secretary of State and President and Mrs. Taft. Second attempt: 6,000 new, scrubbed trees arrive in 1912; 3,000 for D.C. and 3,000 for the Japan Society in New York. They pass inspection. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-09-08 00:00:00 Leslie Fernandes Equally as bad as his 'book' on the River Wards - this one adds annoyingly repetitive captions to the authors list of sins. Did you know the Statue of William Penn on top of the tower is 37 feet tall? You'll read that tidbit a dozen times. How about the fact there used to be 552 light bulbs in the clock? Holmes will remind you 1/2 dozen times if you're foolish enough to read this yourself. Avoid this 'book' at all costs. |
