Spencer is part of the Encounter Broadside series of short books written by recognized experts that explore specific topics in their area of expertise. In this one the author looks at the scientific evidence about global warming and the political treatment of it by the Obama administration specifically and what the effects are of those policies. In another book by this author, The Great Global Warming Blunder: How Mother Nature Fooled the World's Top Climate Scientists, he analyzed and discussed some of the overlooked or ignored potential contributors to global warming that are not anthropogenic and would potentially swamp out any human contributors. He presents the idea that global warming, or climate change if you prefer, is more political than actual science. It is sort of like you identify the result you want to see and then search for only the facts that support that conclusion. Unlike the current conventional (political) wisdom about the scientific consensus that we are in serious trouble and it's almost too late (yet again), any legitimate scientist or engineer knows that the scientific method involves peer review and challenges to the claimed theory. That is not how we arrived where we are today with unscientific claims of certainty that have to be revised every ten to twelve years when the certainty doesn't happen. Become informed on the real science related to global climate warming change!

Review # 2 was written on 2011-05-30 00:00:00 Larry Meadows It is a great summary of the conservative sceptic position about global warming. Unfortunately it is light on actual facts, statistics, and data. Nevertheless, it is only 42 pages so what do you expect.
