Review # 1 was written on 2012-05-29 00:00:00 Paul Duncan There is some good advice here, but unfortunately it's paired with scripture taken out of context and oftentimes poor theology that paints the picture of a needy impotent God. When weathering the storms of life, I take great comfort in my all-powerful God, for whom nothing is a surprise, one who doesn't sit around and wait for me to come to the right conclusions, but enters my life and shows me what I need to see--regardless of the feelings within my own sinful heart. My God doesn't wait for an RSVP to comfort or heal my heart. Despite these issues, the author had some wonderful reminders in the midst of life's pain--particularly the reminders that we are but dust, God is enough, and the end of this life as "the end of the beginning" |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-05-29 00:00:00 Robert Redella This is one of the best quick little reads there is! I've given this book to many friends and family over the years when they are struggling with storms in their life. I've read it several times myself and I think it's amazing even when the weather is sunny in your world. |
