I had the opportunity to meet Floy a few years ago, just before this book came out, and to tour the home where she lived with all those cats! The cats were all gone by then and she was busy packing up what remained of her life and preparing for a move she didn't want to make but she could talk about little else than the upcoming publication of this book. She had finally put into writing the stories of all the animals she had loved and devoted herself to and she was confident that what she had written was wonderful. She was right. Floy was kind and compassionate and had such an unusual life and calling. If you love animals, you will love her book.

As the title states, the author, Floy Morway, rescues cats and other animals and finds them new homes. She is like her own personal humane society and she does a good job of it. Never mind that she often goes on people's private properties and takes their animals if she doesn't like the conditions in which they are being kept. Kind of chutzpadik. She never gets arrested for this although I imagine she could have been. But she rescues and saves animals. That is admirable.
