Review # 1 was written on 2010-02-16 00:00:00 Barbara Slovan Rique Johnson has done it again with this sequel, A Dangerous Return. I have read all his books and enjoyed each and everyone. He has earned his place in contemporary mystery/thriller. Jason is a detective that has nothing but mayhem from his job. Jason is a great detective but trouble follows him through all the series. With this sequel Jason hits the lotto and retirement is his first name until his Captain is killed. He couldn't leave it up to his old co-workers to find the killer or killers of his Captain that he considered as a father. While on his mission to find out what happen he loses some folks on the way. The case grows and grows as Jason fears for his life but he don't stop until all the bad guys are caught. If you haven't read the book before this one pick it up.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-01-06 00:00:00 Wanda Newton Looks like I am committing myself to yet another good series! I enjoyed spending time with Detective Superintendant Grace and will be happy to find out more about him. I liked spending time in Brighton and Hove too which is where my grandparents used to live and where I visited often as a child. Some of the book was gruesome and the chapters about being buried alive were the stuff of nightmares! However there was lots of realistic and interesting police work and some great characters who I assume the author will expand upon as the series progresses. This book starts out nice and steadily, gathers momentum in the middle and then races to a conclusion. Very enjoyable and I am glad I have #2 on my shelf ready:)
