"This magazine made by the American Bible Association is supposed to be new perspectives on ancients truths. I find this magazine does so but what I liked the most about this magazine was the basis of other faucets within our culture. There is a lot of insight on The Da Vinci Code since that book is based mostly around Jesus Christ and many aspects including the Sacred Feminine, Priory of Sion, Knights Templar, and Mary Magdalene being Jesus's partner. Now I always seem to bring the option of ""what if"" to many supposed Christians about those topics but like most zealots, the head of a zealot is submerged in a rapid river of judgment. Nevertheless, this magazine even goes into depth about why the Bible is what it is now. Why aren't certain gospels not included and why are there so many different translations and why do some people take some part of the Bible and others don't? Well there has been many revisions and translations of the Bible but four stand out the most being the Septuagint, Masoretic Text, Aleppo Codex, and the Vulgate. All in all, this magazine touches many topics that a pluralist such as I already know about. I suggest this magazine to all as an easy read for general understanding of things since this magazine does a good job explaining instead of condemning. I really enjoyed that and respected that as well since most religious fanatics have that unique ability to condemn all in their wake. Even many people from the church I sometimes go to (Calvary Chapel) are very condeming. Their defense - they are not perfect and they are all sinners. Only would become an excuse if they purposely did condemning again and again. As a matter of fact, I suggest this magazine to them."

Being a Freethinker, I read religious material as fiction. I found Insider the Mysteries of the Bible a very good read and a really good work of fiction.
