The role reversals of the narrator (child) and his grandfather, as well as the accurate details used in regards to the explanation of a stroke, as well as the aftermath, is amazing. Though it is a very sad topic, it is an unfortunate reality for many children, so this is a great way to show them they are not alone.

The vocabulary used in this book is explained in an age appropriate way that will make it easy to understand for most children. The book is not a happy go lucky book but it does show real life events and how the process of watching a loved on go through the stages of a stroke.
