Review # 1 was written on 2021-01-06 00:00:00 Julius Brown The last of the termination reading for my group prep. I liked this one better than the Davis book, but at this point I'm not getting much new, just sort of circling over the same ground again. Joyce et al. goes to great lengths to argue that there is a process and model, but they continue to tout the same three important factors: determine jointly with client that it is time to end, make sure to consolidate gains, give plenty of time and energy and focus to client emotional reaction, allow for therapist emotional reaction, resolve the therapist-alliance and then plan for the future, leaving the door open. Out of the three, I liked the Walsh book the best, maybe because that one was written by a social worker. |
Review # 2 was written on 2007-10-15 00:00:00 Chris Carver Life and Death in Intensive Care : Joan Cassell A good look at critical care, comparison between American and New Zealand SICU units, doctors, nurses and administrations. The language was a bit stiff for non-medical people, but it will make you think. The narration was well done by Laura Jennings. "I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator." |
