Review # 1 was written on 2019-06-14 00:00:00 Steven P Beck This volume made me feel better after reading Volume 3. There are still lots of struggles ahead for these 2. I'm about ready to slap Karin's dad though! Man, he's a jerk! |
Review # 2 was written on 2011-07-08 00:00:00 Karen Mozdzen I like me my mangas. What can I say? If I'm not reading a book, or flipping through a magazine, I'm hiding in the corner reading one of these little bits of entertainment. ^^ So if you're looking through my collection of ~insert snark~ profoundly inspiring reads and you find these guys, don't be perplexed, there just my guilty pleasures. :P Okay, now that I've cleared that up let me get to this fourth installment of Kare First Love. As with the other books in the series, the characters and art work keep me glued to the pages. The storyline is a 10 on the scale of light reading and a 7 on the scale of entertainment value. I liked it just fine. In this book, Karin and Kiriya are going through a rough patch in their relationship. They each make some choices that make it difficult to see one another and at the end of the book, they begin to contemplate a head banger of a decision. I'm seriously still shaking my head in disbelief, but that just makes me want to pick up the next one right way. It sure does… Overall, a great choice if you like mangas and ya-contemporary. Definitely a series I plan to continue reading. |
