Review # 1 was written on 2018-02-11 00:00:00 Maryann Shotts It's a pretty short book. It took me awhile to finish because of school and work. But the flow was good. I am not really a fan of the ending. But I guess it's kinda fitting with the character. It's pretty sad though and there were times I found myself predicting/guessing a few scenes that some of the characters were being shady, which did actually happened later on in the reading. So I thought that was pretty cool. Overall I think it was an okay good book. |
Review # 2 was written on 2019-05-13 00:00:00 Dave Ulmer It was a rainy weekend so I finished reading Carl Melcher Goes to Vietnam. Paul Clayton is seemingly in my generation. The references to Herman Hesse's Siddhartha gave it away. He was a popular author during my high school years. The book is short, simple yet it draws you forward with an odd, motley set of characters that rings true to life. |
