Review # 1 was written on 2007-09-07 00:00:00 Cary Acker MESOZOIC MURDER - Okay Gentry, Christine - 1st book Ansel Phoenix, who makes her living drawing dinosaurs, unearths the body of colleague and ex-lover Nick Capos while digging with students out in the field. Ansel decides to investigate what Capos had been doing during the last few months of his life and soon suspects he was working on a secret project worth killing for. For me, too heavy on the science, and the protagonist being concerned about everyone looking at her as an Indian, and I got very tired of the cop saying "Hokay," and too light on the mystery. It wasn't bad but probably not a series I'll follow. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-04-01 00:00:00 John Doe Not as quirky-original or insect-oriented as I hoped, but a fun read. |
