THere was gonna be a flood but not just any ordinary flood a huge flood. The winds were more than 160 MPH. It was gonna hit New Orleans. More than 460,000 people lived there. Although they had levees high walls that kept the city safe from flooding, that wall did not have the strength to stand up against hurricane katrina. Thousands of people were left stranded on top of buildings. Everything was destroyed within minutes. Floods are the most common storms. There are many different types of floods like River Floods, Heavy Rains, and Snowmelt. There are also flash floods whicha re not as severe as others. They mainly happen to cities around rivers and lakes. Floods are very dangerous and after the cities will be destroyed and lifes will be lost.

The Lewis and Clark Expedition by Patricia Quiri 11/19/18 5/5 Nonfiction: Biography (Memoir), Grades 3-4 The Lewis and Clark expedition is one that is talked about in every elementary school across the United States. When the information comes from history books, it can almost be uninteresting to children. However, I think this book would be great in place of reading it out of a history book because it was very informative on Lewis and Clark and their expedition. I think the pictures also added interest to the book. I would recommend this for middle elementary students.
