Review # 1 was written on 2018-08-18 00:00:00 Victor Theriault When you grow up in Yakima, you know its flaws, and the dry, hot summer climate is one of them. B.J. Reynolds, the main character in _Martial Law in Yakima, doesn't like the Yakima climate any more than I, so that was kind of fun. Also fun was reading about places around the town that are iconic. The story reminded me a little of a low rent Raymond Chandler, and I wondered if Hooper just kind of got tired and wrote a quick ending to the crime portion of the story. All in all I would recommend the novel to anyone who has lived in the town of Yakima, Washington.
