It provides inspiration and ideas for creating Japanese gardens for homes outside of Japan, but does not go into specifics about how to produce them. A good book to get ideas for producing your own Japanese garden. Overall, an enjoyable read with good photographs. It's also dispersed with Japanese haiku.
