Review # 1 was written on 2017-10-18 00:00:00 Simphiwe Madela 3.5 stars While I loved the gorgeous photos and quotes from Thoreau, I have looked several times throughout the book, and back and front, for just where the photographs were taken, and by whom. Some I recognized from my other favorite photography books but I would have really liked to have known who took the photos and where in New England the photo was from.

Review # 2 was written on 2013-06-06 00:00:00 Billy Burleson I really enjoyed this book -- I thought it was so much better than some of the other Images of America books, partially because the authors often said what was currently on sites shown (like saying "Now 36th Street," or "Now a chain grocery store sits there"), which gave good geographical references. 4.5 stars
