Review # 1 was written on 2019-08-19 00:00:00 Steve Knight This is a very good book that addresses fundamentals in stances and techniques. A lot of it feels pretty basic, but it is a good reminder that fundamentals matter in important ways. Some of the material regarding things like breathing techniques and 'rootedness' are a bit of a stretch to follow, but my suspicion is that the material is dead-on, and that these are areas for me to work on. |
Review # 2 was written on 2010-09-08 00:00:00 Andrea Woodworth Was quite basic, good for beginner-level martial arts people. The writer stated his opinions very strongly, and in some cases he was IMO simply wrong (as most body-mechanical things are verifiable). This was somewhat annoying. Still, worth reading but not to be taken as a final word about the topic. |
